| Specification summary: |
|
EFP 55 Sliding W&D range is a pressure equalised, fully drained, if desired a thermally broken system which consists of 55mm or 100mm and 148mm deep frames.
|
Specification summary continued:
- Glazing—The system is glazed from the inside. Glass should conform the requirements of BS 6262 for thickness and type, in terms of wind resistance, safety and security.
- Drainage–The system is fully drained & pressure equalised, achieved by meeting the requirements of “Ventilated and drained glazing system” as specified in BS 6262
- Frame / Sliding Sash Glazing depth is 38mm, standard glazing thickness from 4 to 28mm
- Thermal insulation–Standard configuration: Class 3.0 in accordance with DIN 4108 (>4.5 W m2 K) or EN ISO 10077-1
- The thermal transmittance ( Uf ) W/m2 K, is depending on the insulator strip, this as calculated as per EN ISO 10077-1. Comparable with class 3.0 DIN 4108-4 Table 3
- Sound insulation–Depending largely upon the glass specification, generally the window framing reduces the figure by 3-4db (A)
- Materials–The system is constructed from extruded aluminium profiles, using alloy 6063 complying the requirements of BS 1474.
- Construction–Any instructions regarding the manufacture and installation of the system must be strictly adhered to.
- Weathering–Glazing vision strips are made of EPDM conforming to BS 4255 Part 1.
- Performance / exposure category The system has been designed according to the latest EN standards and will meet the good levels when manufactured, installed and glazed to EFP recommended procedures.
- Size limitations–The size limitation of the system depends mainly on Sash/vent sizes and on the (mullion) vertical member used to suit the span, spacing and wind/dead loads, which are specific for each individual project
- Sliding Window & Door Types The systems consist many different window types like: 1, 2, or 3 track sliding with fixed & sliding panels, several combinations can be made.
- Hardware or Ironmongry (Rollers / handles / locks etc) These has been designed around and do comply with most commonly used European brands.
